As of the first chapter, I'm amazed by how... unable to see an obvious ploy, our heroine is.

(If you were raised in the sort of super-competitive environment that makes you that bitter about losing, especially, I'd have thought you'd be a bit more keenly aware of when people are blatantly asking to take advantage of you.)

I am, however, curious to see what's up with crow-demon-boy still, and what the character dynamics between them will be.

I understand why you may think like this, but you also have to consider the fact that she was so emotionally disturbed during these events that she ended up screaming at her friend in public. Of course her actions are still only borderline acceptable, because you would think that she could have calmed down until 2 am. Well, regardless, I am also intersted in the future of this.
