Yeah, sorry but I don't get it. Why the hell did he cut it off? Manga makes it seem like it just happened, but the scissors didn't magically teleport into his hand while at the same time cutting the rope, he had to make a conscious decision to cut it.

I don't think she's on any of the 5 volume covers, so probably not. There are apparently 6 heroines but yeah, author didn't even bother to show her face in her first two cameos, so seems like little chance.
