So I finally got around to start reading this, and something I find so interesting is this "Hikaru" seems so...sentimental, if that's the word? Normally a possession or otherworldly eldritch being would be a lot more deadly and though I don't doubt this Hikaru is, he's also so attached to

get teary-eyed at the thought of killing his friend and seemed so nervous once they reunited the next day.

It's sweet and strange at the same time... I wonder his end-goal is here, and what happened to Hikaru. The art is gorgeous btw aaaaaa

the opening scene where eldritch Hikaru reveals himself is really striking and probably hooks readers right away, but i wonder how it would’ve been if that wasn’t revealed just yet, and we instead followed Yoshiki as he tries to figure out what’s wrong with Hikaru since he came back from the mountain. could’ve been a real psychological build-up, but i guess it’s also a more conventional approach. i wonder where the tension will go from here.
