I wish the drawing of Gehenna fit the Artstyle of the rest of the book. It looks weird.

So, the ending note says it is being officially published but didn't actually specify whether you would drop it. Are translations continuing?

So for those wondering like myself, shougayaki is a traditional Japanese home dish of grilled pork slices in a ginger marinade. Also I didn't even make the connection of Yoshiki's family moles until now. I guess I don't get why it'd be such a big deal for 'Hikaru' to go back to the mountains. Yoshiki could help him build a tiny cabin up there and stay with him or live in the village and just face-time and chat with him so it's not like it'd be a permanent goodbye. Anyway thanks for the chapter.

Was Dad also gay or is Yoshiki just projecting?
I had to reread the chapter to see where this came from, but on that reread, it hit me. The conversation in the first half of the chapter is between Yoshiki's dad and Hikaru's dad. If my understanding is correct then, it could be both. Yoshiki saw himself and his feelings for Hikaru reflected on his father's relationship with Hikaru's dad, and that Yoshiki's parents had a reason why they're separated.

It isn't just that ‘Hikaru’ must go back to the mountains in hopes of resolving this situation—he must cut ties with every human he has ever in contact with, especially Yoshiki. The reason being is that Yoshiki (as well as the others he has been close to, but to a far lesser extent) has been "tainted by the other side", and the more ‘Hikaru’ interacts with the people around him, the more tainted they become. That is, if ‘Hikaru’ is to resolve the situation (the intermixing of the sides causing the barrier(?) to weaken) he must not only return to the mountains, but also cut off all contact. He'd be back to being alone, which he absolutely hates.

With the way the story is going, I can't see this ever getting a happy ending, where the boys can still hang out with each other... they're cute and I hope they at least have a nice conclusion even once they have to separate. Yoshiki seems mostly aware that it's no good to keep 'Hikaru' around, but at the same time doesn't want to have 'Hikaru' away since he also knows 'Hikaru' wants to stay if possible. Still hoping the best for them both...

Honestly, both to some extent? I think at the very least Yoshiki sees in his dad his worst fears for himself ... that he'll end up miserable and repressed in this village that he hates. I definitely could see the dad being gay; honestly that's what I took from it, and it explains their constant marital problems.

Thanks for the chapter and the great work as always! I'm a bit confused with all the new info, so I'll probably end up re-reading this chapter later. Now I understand why Yoshiki says that his father is similar to him... It's probably because his father also lost someone who was (is?) important to him: Hikaru's father. I definitely need to know more about Yoshiki's father and his past... and about his sister, too. I mean, why did she stop attending school? I don't remember if they mentioned that in previous chapters, but after doing some research it seems that they talk about it in the Light Novel's short story: Aki no Shiori, which takes place during the autumn before Hikaru's disappearance... I'm very curious about it so I'd love to read that one as well, though it seems that extra chapter was only available in the special edition of the LN... sigh. If anyone knows where I can read it, please let me know! (Japanese is okay too!). Anyways, looking forward to the next chapter! Amazing work as always, guys~ ✨✨

The stuff about their dads is interesting. According to chapter 5 Hikaru's dad died when they were in the fifth grade, so about five years before the events of the story. So Yoshiki's dad was despairing and feeling like there's nothing of value left in the village even as he's living there married with two kids. That's him saying to Yoshiki's face that he cared more about Hikaru's dad than he did about his own wife and children.
