Why. This series was doing so well and now the author feels the need to add this whole shitty subplot to it, it doesn’t even make any sense within the story

Himawari had her whole bit and then vanished for so long that this feels pretty cheap, and I get that she's been set up to be an 'antagonist' but she's so underdeveloped compared to the rest of the cast. Hopefully this won't last because it's shaping up to be pretty weak compared to the rest of the story.

Himawari is trying to take advantage of Yurika because she's an awful person who likes Yurika and didn't get her way previously and is trying to create an opening again, she's trying to goad Yurika into bad decisions for her own personal pleasure. I'm not sure why people think how she's acting is out of left field, she was hinted at throughout the manga as a force that will come into play at some point and shown at multiple points like with the backstory of the ex to be wanting Yurika for herself and being disgruntled that Yurika rejected her, like it was obvious for a while that when she re-enters the picture it would be to mess with Yurika and play with her feelings, and that's what's going on. Like yeah it's not as strong of a plot arc as the other stuff so far but I don't get why people think it came out of nowhere, or is forced, or doesn't make sense.

I agree that it's not out of nowhere since she has already shown herself to be an annoying and bad person, but the tonal shift in the last 2 chapters is just so weird

If they actually had sex while Yurika is currently in love with Minamo WHILE standing up her lunch date with Minamo I'm just gonna go ahead and drop the series right there. If they did have sex Yurika is probably one of the worst characters I've seen and I'd probably would never have such a stark switch up in my life for a character until now.

I’ve been saying that I really like this story recently, but I really don’t like this development. Don’t really see this being turned about to something I would be ok with either. If she did ghost because she got into a fight/she was distressed by being kissed, then I expect us to not find out about it for a while because the drama which will just make it worse.

Yeah to add on to what I said earlier, even if it does turn out to just be a fight over the forced kiss, if it's not resolved next chapter and they keep it ambiguous for the sake of drama and drag it out, it will also make me drop this series. There is nothing I hate more than ntr and ntr baiting.

Some commentators here are inferring that Yurika was having sex rather than answering the phone. If that conclusion is correct then, yes, the series has tanked. But that inference takes too great a leap.
