Honestly, I'd think this bodyswap wouldn't hold them back that much? Zelda has some combat experience, so its not like her body would be completely without muscle for anything combat-wise link needs. They're close enough in size, and would be able to disguise their bodies as each other acceptably if absolutely needed. Big thing would be when master sword and goddess based powers are needed, whether those are accepted as soul or body, but honestly they're only ever required during final boss battles.
