Yeah, it does feel similar. It just feels like instead of a compelling premise about fiances and childhood promises with characters who have clear convictions, we have a story about a popular girl who is treating the male lead as her personal butler and insisting it be kept a secret and it just feels a bit over the top. Well, I might regain my respect for her if she ever shows a shred of interest in the male lead's personal life, dreams, or happiness beyond "I'll treat you to a coffee that you can go get yourself".

Spent the whole chapter waiting for the next shop that they went to to have Kanai working there for the part-time job she mentioned at the start of the chapter, finally figured it had to be the coffee place when I was page 17 out of 19 and they just went in...
