Not that I have to be reading each week, but it’s painful to see this kind of development over the last few chapters when the writing was pretty great and grounded earlier on
The target audience of this type of manga knows how it will end and don't care - they just enjoy the journey. Quite a few Japanese works function on the basis that the ending is obvious and the thrill is just seeing how we get there. Nothing wrong with that, you're just not the target audience if it turns you off.
Not to say this manga isn't quite bad, but the predictable plot is hardly a key point of criticism here.
