Coward-ass author. Why even do a timeskip at that point?
To demonstrate to everyone that Himari hadn't changed at all. Yet again lied her arse off by claiming she was Iemori's 'best friend', and then the time skip showed she dropped him like a rock. Best friend my arse.

I won't lie—this is the first time I've seen the heroine in the title lose.

It's almost like it wasn't the main plot or something. Everyone that wasn't in the title of the manga is a side character they don't need more than who they are and why they are in the story.

It's almost like the title of the manga is hima(himari)ten(tenichi) and is about their friendship

Well, if this is true, it was really bad execution. They build it up to create romance, which is fine... but the last few chapters it was just "the romance is broken." And that was it. If the idea was the friendship, why didn't they build up more the idea that friendship is SPECIFICALLY the thing they wanted to create. Romance was being built up this whole that, so much so that the manga built up the last few chapter's conflict to the "confession" of Himari that ended up being "I love you, but let's not make this romantic." We even had supporting characters trying to build it up. There was not a single moment in the story where the characters pondered that their relationship as friend, their platonic love, was much more precious than the romantic love. How is it that the whole point of the manga was about friendship?! No. It was clearly a build to romance. It was only at the end that the mention of the importance of friendship that was brought up, and not in a way that showed platonic love was important... only that platonic live can persist after romance is over. AND EVEN THEN WE DID NOT GET TO SEE THE TWO BEING ACTUAL FRIENDS IN THE EPILOGUE! Friendship here seemed extremely fragile.

I feel very conflicted. For Once - the cover girl was not the winner. But at the same time Honoka got really short shrifted as character development goes. We painfully know more about Kanna than the winning FMC. I mean, I'm happy that his love was consistent and he didn't sway, but damn, a couple of chapters to the lead-up with Honoka wouldn't be unwelcome.

One down, now we just need 4 more discount Nisekois and everyone will have their happy ending.

Thank fuck it was rushed. Had it lasted for another 100 chapters, others would have developed a crush on him as well. Himeno and Sumire are fine but what if someone else had appeared? People asking for more development don't realise the never ending snowball of parallel universes we'd end up with with every original work introduced more love interests that needed a discount story of their own.
