Can you please NOT post these? I get that your impatient, and it's not like you're waiting weeks and weeks on a scanlation without even knowing it's being worked on. There is an established group actively working on this series that's doing proper translations. And I don't care about sniping, but there are so many mistakes in this, you are completely misleading everyone who reads this and ruining Harusono-sensei's work.
Hirano doesn't ask Sasaki if he got in a fight with Miyano, he's saying HE got in a fight (with Kagiura).
Hanzawa doesn't ask if Hirano read anything, where did you even get that? He's asking if Hirano handed out a manual to Miyano and the other members of the disciplinary committee. And if he hasn't, he'll make copies for THEM, not Hirano. And Hirano isn't agreeing, he's telling Hanzawa to wait until the meeting instead of making the copies while he's running around doing other things.
You completely left out the way Miyano describes Hirano treating the reflection essays he writes about his hair as a magical item that changes reality.
"He's so dense that he won't understand you!" ????? Kagiura's name is literally in that line, what happened? Hirano is comparing Sasaki to Kagiura, saying Kagiura's expressions of his feelings are way better done than what Sasaki just did.
Hirano is suprised by Sasaki saying "because I love him" because he doesn't say that--that's not even what Sasaki said in your own translation! He's caught on Sasaki saying he's CRAZY in love with Miyano. Even if you were struggling with the translation, some of these lines are direct quotes from this scene in Sasaki and Miyano. Not all of the lines, but most of Sasaki's. And then the next time Hirano is thinking about Sasaki's "crazy for you" line, you have it as if Hirano is thinking for himself "I really like him so much." He's QUOTING Sasaki there.
Admittedly the other scanlation team made the same mistake, but "I like you" IS NOT RIGHT. 好き in the right context is a BLATANT "I love you", and that's what it is here.
And Hirano didn't say it "like [Kagiura] did". He's protesting that Kagiura is making a fuss even though Hirano just gave in and said what Kagiura was complaining he DIDN'T say before.
Kagiura WAS listening. What he says after Hirano's "I love you" is about "Like I thought, I've definitely never heard you say it." The following lines don't even make sense. "Anyways, see, I told you I said it." Saying it again (as far as Hirano is concerned) doesn't prove he said it before, especially when it's following Kagiura saying "You DEFINITELY didn't say it before because that was so impactful. There's no way I would have missed it."
NONE of this has at any point been about Kagiura listening or paying attention except for the very beginning of the chapter when Hirano says Kagiura isn't listening to him. And that was about the ARGUMENT, not about whether he did or did not say "I love you" yet directly. Which, as Hirano admits, HE DIDN'T. What Kagiura notices is that Hirano didn't use the verb for "I said", he used a different word that means he "communicated" or "got across" the idea of "I love you". What Hirano said at the time, as he quotes himself here, was "I want to be with you." And Hirano's next line is NOT "I'm telling you I really like you" it's him explaining that he said "I want to be with you" with the intention of it meaning the same thing as "I love you" because that's what their whole conversation during the sports festival was about. Kagiura explained that loving someone means wanting to be with them more than anyone else, always. To Hirano, saying "I want to be with you" was the same as saying "I love you".
This chapter certainly has some impactful illustrations, but posting a shoddy translation that completely wrecks the wording still ruins the impact of those illustrations, those moments.
And this is not even getting into how the word choices are poor and do not reflect the characters' personalities at all.
I get that you're impatient. But this is a DISservice to the fandom, not a service. Anybody who wants this level of quality can point the Google Translate camera at the raws themselves. You can enjoy doing that for yourself all you want. But posting this and exposing people who are patiently waiting for a proper translation of a story they can't otherwise read is just spoiling it for them, except worse because of how many mistranslations there are. Many of these lines, especially in the last scene, are beyond translation mistakes. You've actively rewritten the scene to whatever you imagined it to be because you can't read the Japanese at all. Those were not difficult sentences in Japanese. Anyone with even N5 or N4 level language skill could read them.
Please stop posting these. Find people to chat and theorize about the raws with, find some other way to occupy your time and engage with the fandom while you wait for people who can actually understand Japanese to provide an accurate translation of this story you supposedly like. You're not living in a desert, so why on earth are you trying to feed people bug-infested pond water. Have some patience and some respect for Harusono-sensei's writing and the work it takes to translate.
