I don't think that people here a getting the point.
We know that on her end, the deal with the witch was that not sex unitl 18, and for his end to still like her whatever she turns out to be. The "spirit voyeur" thing is a trap purposely done to make them lust for the other (that they do) and put a test of them. As someone said in previous chapters, holding up until 18 is no issue, but if you continuously sees them dating Rosie Palms WITH YOU as material? That's way more difficult. And dating will not help at all, they'd jump the bones of the other the day they start dating.
Also I don't believe that there will be NTR. The main conflict if the story is both Hinako and Hirose holding up their feelings and lust for each other and all the lewd trials that it means. Adding a third wheel would only derail the whole plot.

A few might be better off if they had gained a little bit of life experience by being, for example, a youth leader in scouts or something. Of course general hardships in life could do the same. The confessing dude had guts in any case to pull it off at all, especially in front of the other students. The friend was trying to be helpful in his immature way, which wasn't really helping, but he was trying his best for his buddy's sake. The friend's reaction after the rejection was totally believable for his personality type.

@HOOfan_1 It could be interpreted that way, yes, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt and considered it just a place where they hang out during breaks, thus being their usual place (the friend called it "our regular spot" (I doubt the two dudes are confessing to each other there every week). Furthermore, the confessing dude didn't look like a person who would go around confessing all the time half-assedly and then laugh it off after a failure. He seemed pretty serious, with the letter and everything.
