A lot of this story uses hentai logic. The blackmail that makes no sense is 1000% hentai logic.

The police will call his parents and he will just delete it off his phone at the worst (while having backups literally everywhere), if he even needs to do that. He won't even get fined and I mean, imagining jail time for something as inane as that is just delusional.
For better or worse, when it comes to something like this, Japan lax attitude means it isn't a absurd parody made reality like America where you could probably get a 13 year old on a sex offender registry for LIFE, if not also thrown in jail along with that if they have a nude picture of themselves and the prosecutor is really good.

Well, maybe I hold too much faith in humanity/the japanese justice system. It's just too much hentai logic for me to believe that ain't nobody would even give that a shot. And I don't think a police officer would just let someone off like that but maybe that's just how japan works.

I don't think kids should go to jail unless they do some really violent shit, or if they have a long criminal history. Jail time for a 16 year old first time offender? That's dysfunctional to me. Generally the law agrees with me on this, and usually gives them some kind of probation along with community service or something similar (except in cases of murder or similar crimes, where they go to juvie/jail for first time offense, which is fine by me).
Anyway, of course I support jail time for an actual adult that has CP.

I think what he's saying is that it changes from a case of CP possession to a case of general sexual assault.
