True, the biggest sizes are for some reason attached to the tiniest bodies..
Looks hilarious though, wonder how much of the total weight those attachments stand for?
(When that's above 50% you know things are getting way beyond ridiculous.)
@WillTell
I think this convenient (they're making friends of sacred fairies) development is meant to expedite the taking-over-the-church plot. It's easy politics! It makes sense, but the transition does feel like it's all over the place. Maybe it's a bad adaptation?
I have only a faint idea of what's going on. This feels like an AI tried writing a script for Isekai manga, it's hitting all the stereotypes but manages to make no sense
@jonsmth I first read the WN actually, but I couldn't go on and thought maybe the TL quality was low, but when the manga came out it became apparent it's the author's style that's really weird.
@WillTell the translation quality was low indeed, as least in dozens of the older chapters when translator had no one proofread for him, but as for the author's writing, you can say that's not something to be published. The author writes it as a hobby, and it follows his own ideals so you may find it cringy at times.
@WillTell@MavB_Ver
I've only really read one other TL'd WN (I think it was one chapter of Shield Hero) and yeah, it really doesn't feel like reading a novel. It feels more like reading an outline for a plot, or just a script. I was just giving the source material of this the benefit of the doubt, but I guess this sort of writing style is common among Japanese web novels.
It's both, WN translation and WN itself are bad. And even if you somehow find good translator for this garbage, it's still will be bad. I dunno how this got manga adaptation at all.
@Rugid Because it's popular... in Japan. Well, the story itself is interesting enough, but the writing is outright bad. At the very least, I enjoy the sol parts and anticlimactic solutions to every fking single problems, as if the author makes a meme out of cliché situations, while appreciating its gradual prgression
