Seo Kouji's previous soap opera dramas were so over the top dramatic and ridiculous, they're now bogging down and slowing the pacing of an actually interesting for once series of his... can we just end this arc already.

this author is so bad yet he has a lot of long manga serialisation, i guess overforced drama and good art is enough ?

@Kuraiaku im not and no one should if u have read one of his manga u basically have read all of his manga, same shema, different character design and still the same overforced drama shit. no originality just a good art and a deep problem in story writing

It seems i am not alone that feels this arc is so weird. The tension is irrational. The reason is vague that is just explained in this chapter. What a weird storytelling. The past of takahashi chapter feels a waste too. Too short. The content have a weight, but not moving because it should be better if that (past of takahashi) explained longer, not a short one

Seo was going pretty strong too before this arc, what a damn shame. Hopefully shit picks up again.

Drama/Slice of Life series are supposed to depict both the good and bad stuff that happens in people's lives and relationships. IMO Seo is lowkey using this arc to explain why he killed off Fuuka Akitsuki and why it's not a bad thing per se. Sad stuff happens in life and sometimes you lose people close and important to you, but that doesn't mean those people didn't exist or the time you shared with them was meaningless. I just think some people can't notice the subtext or simply don't want to because they can't accept one of their favorite characters had to die for the story to move forward.

Adding to that, it further strongens Aoi Fuuka's character resolve on this whole matter even post fuuka, not holding haruna back, since haruna is being very protective on this matter for her sake.
Just look at how great Aoi was in this chapter. Everyone's trying to protect her where it's not needed, because she's such a strong character. Amazing.

Just a heads up, this is not the last time In-Universe characters will appear in this series... It's one of the best selling points of this series to begin with.

@SNKY Yeah. It's really cool to see old faces come back and influence the current storyline in a positive way. The Asuka/KNIM arc is still my favorite so far.

I mean, Seo killed off Fuuka for drama.

It's no secret he's a mediocre writer with great art. He literally axed Princess Lucia because people liked it more than his ongoing drama series.

@snky

I swear i'll drop this if he keeps relying on his previous crappy series to move the plot forward...

I give every, even shitty author a chance, if the art is good enough. I'd be a hater if I unconditionally hated everything he writes. I loved Princess Lucia, for example. Half&Half wasn't bad either.

So far the terrible soap opera drama he's known for was low in this series.
