as far as first chapters go, that was amazing and also fucked me right the fuck up.

But it really sets the stage for the stakes of the story, so props to the author for not pulling punches in making sure the readers know what's up.

This one looks awesome. And godawful for my emotional well-being, but I hope to high hell it comes out a happy story on the other side.
