Page 10: "ORI-HALcam signal lost", either Hitoshi was trying to see what's happening on the ship or his suit has a built-in camera and the ship's AI has been observing everything through that suit up until now. So, the deployed drones might just be another camera for the ship, but Hitoshi understands it looks like an invading force to the Kemo.

Also, I like that they brought up the "War of the Worlds" argument.
(Sufficiently advanced invaders would just overrun a planet instead of being subtle about their invasion.)

What makes me like this manga is the fact that the tone isn't as realistically grim in war-laden situation. Despite the ambition of being Hito or becomes Hitoner, the kemonoes' attitude or logic sometimes jumps in an unpredictable way that makes me laugh.
