Lol, I'll give the e-hentai a go. Haven't read much there because I kinda didn't like their ui setup. nhentai feels like it's easier to look up, though.

I think its more that he is fascinated by the power that humanity possesses. Not necessarily wanting to start a war, but willing to do anything he deems necessary to reach that level of power. I'm not 100 % sure what is supposed to be reflected in his eyes on that big picture of him, maybe the stars? Meaning he wants to leave his planet and dreams of travelling the galaxy like the humans do.

But as the others said, I find it interesting that in the cave paintings it looks like it was specifically canine Kemos that killed the hairless ones. Which could be meant as irony towards dogs as humans best friends on earth.

Maybe it's not a concrete goal like achieving spaceflight or interstellar travel, but something more abstract, and personal?
As in, he wants to be "HUMAN", to be able to stand at the same heights as humanity, look out upon the same horizons that humanity has done, to be acknowledged as "Human".

And leaning into the "Man's Best Friend", to be recognized by "Humanity" as an equal. A sort of "look at how far I have come, look at me, aren't you proud" desire for recognition.
