I picked up the LNs of this series recently and I gotta say, the mangaka is knocking it out of the fuckin park with this adaptation. I've seen people muse about changing the story so Haruka isn't banging the girls (or at least Angelica, I'm only on Vol. 5) every night, but not gonna lie I feel like that's for the best. Vol. 1 Haruka was funny (especially at the start, talking to God) but got grating since the whole thing was dedicated to everyone discovering/coming to terms with what an absolute shithead he is & acting just as annoying as a side effect, but he once things chill a bit & everyone understands how OP he is by Vol. 2+ it's much more enjoyable. But then he gets his dick wet for the first time & starts being even more aggravating, whenever Angelica is within a 5-mile radius of him he thinks about nothing but sex- even when in completely unrelated & completely inappropriate situations- & it gets old. If the manga was adapted directly it would be every bit as raunchy as to-love ru, since basically any time spent in his perspective that isn't him complaining about being weak & his skills tearing his body apart, or him plotting ways to kill the nerds, is him ogling Angelica/thinking about fucking her (in a few hours since it's nightly)/remembering the last time he fucked her (a few hours ago, because again- nightly), or it's him perving on his classmates as he "takes measurements" etc so he can make clothes for them (once again, nightly). And then we get the occasional other person's perspective, where they're solely thinking about how amazing Haruka is (no change in the manga but less drawn out) & if it happens to be a girl's perspective she'll be naked at the time & probably fantasizing about getting fucked because Angelica uses her limited capacity to speak mainly to tell the other girls about how she & Haruka bang from sunset to sunrise every night because neither of them need to sleep. I have nothing against ecchi series but goddamn, reading paragraph after paragraph about a single woman's ass-every such paragraph invariably ending with her trying to beat him to death, because he's muttering everything under his breath so everyone in the story can fucking hear it- just gets a little old, lmao. The manga keeps the story flowing way more smoothly, and the fights are way more interesting since we get to actually see everything instead of Haruka saying "I killed it in one hit"/"Angelica killed it in one hit"/"Slimey killed it in one hit and ate it lol". (Speaking of which, it's funny that Slimey seems to have been entirely omitted from the manga as far as I can tell, unless they plan to re-add him if/when he becomes more relevant to the story. I can't remember his presence here in the slightest, but that's probably for the best since I wouldn't remember his presence in the LN either if not for the author writing jiggling sounds after every paragraph to imply Slimey is reacting to whatever nonsense Haruka is spouting at the time, even though he just jiggles constantly because he's a fuckin slime, lol.)
