“Misunderstanding because I can’t talk like a normal human being” has to be one of the most annoying overused tropes to ever exist jfc.
Unfortunately you're reading a series where that's literally the core character trait of the MC. You would haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate reading the source material, lmao
MC isn't on the spectrum, he's just a moron. If an armed person is asking you about someone's condition and if they were humiliated, no one would respond they wriggling and fainted but I think they enjoyed it. Anyone with half brain would say they are alive and okay. I swear he has to be intentionally trying to aggravate this guy.
It's described in the novels that it was originally a coping mechanism of his-- everyone he loves dies, so if he doesn't know anyone's names & exclusively does shit to piss them off, they won't be his friends (hence the obsession with "ripping people off" for money even though he ends up drastically improving everyone's QoL in the process, because he lacks the fortitude to be an
actual villain outside of murder)-- but then at some point all of his skills kick in & drastically aggravate the situation by making him blurt out whatever the fuck he's thinking (*before he can reach the conclusion statement you're expecting him to say, though he'd probably just go in circles for another hour or two first in all likelihood), which is also coincidentally used as the excuse for him being such a hopeless serial molester instead of the fact that the author writes with one hand down his pants
