The series had already ended by that point. Volume 5 was the last one, and it was published in mid-2017.
As for the author, no idea, I hope this isn't another Game no Naka ni Iru! situation where author just dissapeared after crashing the series with no survivors.

The last volume I read in 2017 (not sure if it's the final one, but judging by the way it concluded I think it was),
the OL made a decision that's quite heartwarming

I think the manga
reflects the author's own experience of slaving away in a city. Maybe the success of the manga enabled him to find a less stressful life, so it ended well both for him and the OL

Cuz I relate a little. I don't have time to myself much since travel to and from work is so long. I can only eat and sleep. I want hobbies and i want time
