Black Licorice on it's own can definitely be rough. I love the way the it's sometimes served in Denmark though where it's coated in a candy shell.

Strange that the candy is just presented as "black liquorice gummies". While it's an aqcuired taste, it's not the candy that is often called one of the worst candies: that's salmiakki or salty black liquorice.
The packaging even says salt, so I'm curious if it's not supposed to be that version as that is a way stronger taste.

Same. I saw the 'Salt' on those packages and wondered why the author didn't mention salmiac(ammonium chloride) as the main flavoring, because salty liquorice (saltlakrits) usually means that variant..

I quite like the taste of it myself.

Scandinavia refers to Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. If you include Finland it is called Fennoscandia, and including Iceland it's the Nordic Countries.

True, but to most foreigners Scandinavia means the Nordic countries. Our countries have used the branding abroad in the past because people just don't know or care about the difference.
