So is Fiona a royal?
Why?

If you misunderstand “that jewel thingy that grants wishes” (on the 16th page) as an extremely valueable device (not unlike a national treasure) that is expected to only be available for the royal family, then let me remind you that the jewel originally resided on the bottom floor (see the first four pages of the second chapter) and thus was probably designed to grant a wish to the adventurer who would be the very first to conquer the dungeon. Fiona just repurposed it when she wished for help and thus summoned Maho together with the home center.

I admit that Fiona reacting with “So you're royalty…” when Maho mentioned going to a school (on the 22nd page) could have meant that schools are only available to the members of the royal families in this world. And when Fiona casually says that she could go to a school if not for some circumstances, then it could have meant she is some kind of a royal herself. However, I see it as a far-fetched guess; after all, the same Fiona then makes a promise to go to a school together with Maho even after Maho says that she's definitely not a royal.

For the record, Maho has already said that she's not even a noble (on the 14th page of the very first chapter), and thus Fiona's remark might instead hint on the expensiveness of this world's education.

Dunno why some are saying they couldn't drain all the water in 5 days.

I take a mid pump (10000L/hour), put 5 of them for 5 days :
  • 5d × 24h × 10000L × 5 pumps = 6 000 000 L
It's more than 2 olympic swimming pools (=2500000L or 660000 gal).
Now put even more pumps or stronger pumps :bleh:

Thanks for the chapter!

I just realised that Maho might be the new dungeon master. Imagine if Maho realises that what they are doing right now will eventually leave the depot unprotected and as such decides to protect it by levelling up some of the pets in the store and placing them in the previous rooms. They will be used to Maho, and as such not attack her, but will probably attack anyone else.

5 days to empty an entire lake through hoses is still very fast IMO. Good thing we're not working with the real world here lmao.
Even if the flow rate was limited, they couldn't have emptied that lake for an entirely different reason.
Any pump can only siphon to at most a height of about 10.3m above the water level even if the water level at the end is lower. This is because the pressure in the water drops with the formula Δp = ρ*g*h where ρ is the density of water, g is the gravitational constant and h is the height above the water surface. At 10.3m the pressure drops low enough that the water starts evaporating at room temperature, thus pumping is no longer effective because there is no continuous flow of water and the siphon effect breaks down.
Looking at the page that shows the pumped out lake, it is clear that the lake is deeper than 10m.

Oh hey I did science class that one time water is that weird, I really will go up in some cases

Poor sea dragon didn't even do anything, all foes remain powerless at the hands of science

Have a nice day

That's only pumps which sit at the top and suck water up. The style of pump they're using has the pump at the bottom. So it generates positive pressure, pushing the water up as high as you need (up to whatever pressure the pump can generate, and hose can withstand). The ambient air pressure doesn't matter.

What you're saying affects shallow depth hand pumps. Since they suck water up (have air pressure push water up), they need to be primed (filled with water) to seal the low pressure the pump is generating. Deeper wells put the pumping mechanism at the bottom - the pump sits at the bottom in the water and is connected to the crank handle by a really long rod. These don't need to be primed, since the pump is pushing the water up, not air pressure.

Very true, I misinterpreted the pumping mechanism.

Thank you for the chapter.
“If I were a guy, I would’ve aimed for you” why does that line get on my nerves so much? Straight girl stuff, probably?
But anyway, her opinion about going to school is interesting, really helps develop their friendship even more and could actually move to Yuri.
Being stuck with nothing to do really gets one girl thinking, doesn’t it?
And I sincerely hope that chest doesn’t have monsters in it~
Imagine if it turned out this was Yuri bait, istg I hate it so fcking much when something gets tagged as GL/Yuri/WLW and it's just gay tension with no gay release.
But anyway yeah, hopefully they realise and communicate their feelings for each other properly.

oh to have an isekai gf? to roast marshmallows with

'remove all the water' gotta love the brute force method/idea

mermaid dragon? tho i get while some 'fancy' schools might not be for everyone you'd think there'd be some basic education if only to read and write and avoid dangerous signs (imagine some mercenary/adventurer tricked into an unfair contract b/c they couldn't read but i imagine most guilds are the middle man for that)

Kinda starting to feel bad for these monsters. They don't even get a chance to fight

i mean fionna might be fine but idk if mc could rly defend herself too well if it was a head to head fight

Thanks for the chapter!
If the dungeon were alive/aware, I feel like it'd be pretty resigned to it's fate to have all of it's rooms just get trounced by modern technology.
Either that or that Home Center has its days numbered.

didn't it get summoned b/c of fiona's wish? that means there'd be stuff inside that'd keep helping them

“If I were a guy, I would’ve aimed for you” why does that line get on my nerves so much? Straight girl stuff, probably?

internalized homophobia? (altho while it might be more common these days than it was 20 years ago not everyone realizes 'oh, i can just be gay/have a same sex partner, that's a thing') if not something more casual to test waters/no bisexual awakening yet, idk if it's common in the isekai world but ppl who aren't straight esp at a younger age wouldn't be as straightforward. or the JP culture of going to bathhouses together and being used to it where they might not consider the same gender as a 'partner' but considering it's got the gl tag maybe there's still hope beyond mild 'crumbs' for the audience (but considering she talked about 'family' they were prolly thinking about traditional marriage and a partner you could have kids with)
