I am slightly confused here. Why did the MC get blamed for the poisoning? And what was the the official reason he was exiled? I thought in ch1 it said he fell on his face or something.

That's how you do it!

When the country is about to fall apart into civil war?
When the neighbors are about to invade?
When the world is a out to end...?

If you can't fight, you  GO; don't pack the pictures, don't turn out the lights, don't wind the cat!
JUST GO.

Seconds may matter.

I'm confused. Is he no longer related to his "brother"? Or are they half brothers? Don't really know the role of adults and connections.

Oh boy, that elf is fucking disgusting, she's over 220 years old and perving on a child. I'd spread it all around the kingdom that she's a nasty ass pedo. Hide your little boys everyone, you got a predator on the move. Though if I was Jink, I'd probably want to just straight up kill her if she did make the brother a slave and not immediately release him.

Little late, but I didn't realize this had been updated and have been re-reading.

Anyway. No, they have no blood relation: Jink's parents are the King of Rosalta and the unnamed Chancellor's daughter, while Esther's parents are Gordon Nonland and an unnamed concubine.

Esther's mostly just being a little melodramatic about the whole thing, but nobility place a massive emphasis on bloodlines, so there is some basis to his thought process.

It was like a way to blame him despite not having any evidence (also I think this work because he didn't attend the party so it made him suspicious)

The writing is messy. Suddenly, his father is against his exile, the crown prince was actually the master mind all along, and MC is the King's illegitimate child. Non of those had been hinted or implied before. The author just pulled those plot twists out of his ass for the sake of creating plot twist. That's a bad writing.

And why the author always quick to turn to slavery to progress the plot? Does he have a slave fetish?
