he seems nice enough, idk if he's praised ppl before but i feel like good intentions aside some ppl might interpret some of his compliments as passive aggressive or get him slapped but i do look forward to seeing him attempt to compliment someone that's actually a superior versus a coworkerbasically the joke seems to be
"I want to be praised"
monkey paw curls
Oh hey this got approved while I was asleep.
Hi y'all! I'm new to scanlation in general and I was doing this solo for practice, so you might have seen some weird format inconsistencies. and also me trying out weird stuff like replacing SFX with that page with the "gloom"s in the background.
Do let me know if there's anything to change and stuff. (I was pretty concerned about text size and readability, so I was quite generous on line spacing)
Since a bunch of you are here already and this series is pretty short (16 + 1 epilogue chapters) I'll continue working on it.
Yeah figuring out how much to fill out text boxes was a struggle, and I def leaned way too much into using up text bubble space because I was worried about text readability since I was using Photoshop on quite a big screen. I'll have to normalise the line spacing
This page alone sums up your issues pretty nicely:
- Center text consistently. Don't use right/left-aligned text unless you have a very good reason to do so.
- Don't let text inside text boxes stick too close to the box borders. All the office duties text in the rectangular boxes have this issue.
- Do use lower spacing, you are giving too much room to each letter and it actually makes the text harder to read.
Like in this bubble, I just start looking at each letter individually instead of comprehending groups of letters as words and a group of words as a sentence.
On the other hand, this bubble has way too much free space, yet still suffers from the same too much spacing issue. Easily fixable with lower spacing and bigger font size.
If you love doing SFX, go ahead and keep doing them, but to most people, a side note "SFX: gloom" next to the panel will suffice.
Such a comprehensive review despite the username lol. Hope the scanlator took notice
