Ah, yes. That standard 30page chapter in those 4koma mangas I keep hearing about... lol
not only that, there were also almost no jokes. Just lots of characters' broodings and tons of texts. I'm kinda sorry because you took effort to translate all that but...it was so boring.

I just hate when authors try to add drama in their works when this isn't really needed

Hopefully after these last few chaps, they start translating the sequel too
Is this a spoiler? I mean, if there is a sequel (unless is about FMC and the boy) then they should get together in the next chapters...while as it is now it could end either way, It's still and "open" ending

Not hating on you if that's the case, don't get me wrong...just reflecting

This story requires this type of telling in my opinion. A teen exploring their feelings around unrequited love and a teacher who wasn't prepared to this. Of course at the beginning it is innocent and cute, full of wholesome moments in a quiet room chitchatting. But as the school ends the deadline becomes clearer. Resolves decided since before with less experience are being tested. Time together valued. Feelings are told and futures explored. "I want them to be happy" "Can I be with them too?"
These feelings are so beautiful and so fragile, yet things can easily lose all meaning and become so dull. There is just one chance and that's it. Rom-com means that when things are fun we laugh and when there is love we struggle.
I hope they find happiness where they can be together.

It was mostly comedy and now because series ends author decides to write out something serious. This change of tone is not appreciated

Then by your standards then it was set to fail from the start. You can't write a happy-go-lucky unrequited age gap romance that will succeed if you don't go in bit more seriously. Otherwise it will just start to go fake.
This kind of story can't conclude by comedy alone. Without this kind of arc the characters can't show their growth and dynamic in a deeper level and will stay as a one dimensional cardboard cutouts in a 400 chapter onetrick-pony.
Something similar like this manga is Fantasy Bishoujo where comedy and romance goes hand in hand.
But trust me, this is how 4-koma rom-com usually goes. You aren't cheated or fakeouted by how this story is progressed. This is how this whole genre normally goes.
