The dad is so protective of her that he is clearly overreacting, but he's not all wrong. Some of the people outside the core group have been kinda shitty towards her.

Stop concluding things from just the surface. This is taught in fckin elementary! What kind of manipulative shit is this? "Apparently, I don't matter to you anymore." Don't fcking kid me? Are you seriously trying to guilt trip your fcking daughter? If not, if you're gonna express your feelings, express it in a good, clean way! Make your point get across and listen to her as well!

There are people who would bully you no matter where you go. They would talk shit about you, and maybe even destroy you. And it doesn't even matter if it's outside or inside your home. But the fact you found people who wouldn't do those things, who accepts you for who you are, and you can call "precious" as they the same, is fucking gold itself. And you ought to treasure and take care of it. UGH- 💢ヽ(”°ω°╬)√💢‼

Putting aside this whole drama,can we talk about how cute their class is? They were instantly talking about changing the schools image so that they wouldn't lose Uka ;--;

DAD YOU DUMBASS... LISTEN TO HER!!! He only sees what he wants to see that's why he never noticed her getting bullied in middle school because she acted like the "perfect daughter". But now when she's actually happy, in less prestigious school nonetheless, he's like "oh no they've tainted her or something"... BRUH
Yeah the class is super wholesome T~T

It's so hard to find the right balance as a parent between protecting and giving your child the space they need to grow.
He worried so much when things were fine that when she was really in trouble she hid it so he wouldn't worry more. And when you cut off communicating the bad, the good often ends up not being communicated either.
Not that I'm defending her dad, the only way to solve this stuff is to listen to each other and he's not listening at all.
