Googling burger places in New York with a rosemary aioli brings up 5 Napkin Burger. They really are most well known for their burgers topped with gruyere cheese, caramelized onions and rosemary aioli and the original recipe was from their sister restaurant, Nice Matin

The only burger I can think of where onions are the star is the George Motz burger, named after George Motz, the burger historian. According to him, the best way to cook a burger is to grill the onions along with the burger with lots of fat, then add only mustard as the sauce, and optional pickles. The onions aren't caramelized; rather, they're cooked till soft but on high heat, leaving charred marks on them. In terms of volume, the sliced onions take up almost half of the burger.

EDIT: Decided to look it up again and apparently, it's called the Oklahoma onion burger. While George Motz made it popular outside of the state, he didn't invent it or anything. Also, cheese was present!

We don't use AI, though you are right. I was basing on looks even though the pronoun used wasn't gendered

Thank you for replying, and I'm sorry for the accusation. The pronoun weirdness is happening in multiple chapters across multiple releases, saw a few in Shinya Shokudou and KuiTan too. More often that not it's a case of confusing first/second/third persons, like saying "I" where it should have been a "she/he/they". Or "you" when it should be "I".

AI translation does this all the time, so that's why I assumed the worst, I'm very sorry. If your team is small, maybe just take it slow? I think we readers will be okay with the wait. Especially because I saw that some of the series were commissioned. The errors are minor and dialogue still mostly understandable but it does look weird when it happens.

Personally i think I need to brush up more on my japanese if you think that this problem has persisted across several series of ours. It's pretty much our responsibility to deliver something accurate, after all (with increased emphasis on these being commissioned works)

For this particular chapter I took a glance at the character's face and didn't check the chest which was how I immediately assumed that person was a woman, ignoring the neutral gender pronoun applied to it... I honestly stand corrected on that one haha

Still, I do hope that you'll still be strict with us, my group will not improve if we didn't have people like you ready to point out what we got wrong

Speaking of Japanese vs American palates, I remember hearing someone say that there are two types of cooking in the world, which can be examplified AND NOT TO BE TAKEN LITERALLY‼️‼️‼️ as French/Chinese and Italian/Japanese. French/Chinese cuisine focuses more on technique and complex flavors, while Italian/Japanese focus more on simplicity and fresh and local ingredients. Both are great but have very distinct outcomes, so it is not uncommon for people to have one preference over another, nor is one endemic to a particular region over another. And one is not better than the other either.

The TL notes reminded me that I have to make toum "profiteroles" sometime

Are they going to do that one burger short that got viral. The one where he makes a smash burger on a bed of onions, lets them caramelize in the beef fat as its pressed and then finish it with melting cheese from the steam of both from the hotter side of the griddle. If they are, christ i just saw that like a week ago, and just got through some onions and burger patties to make that like 3 days ago. What the fuck is life.
