Assigned - In Progress [Honkai Impact 3rd] data fixing/cleanup

The Assigned - In Progress flare is because I'm working on it. Help would be appreciated.
So basically, Honkai Impact has a few manhua "books" at comic.bh3.com (Chinese raws) and manga.honkaiimpact3.com (official English) starting with the book number 1000.
But besides the official honkai impact websites hosting the Chinese raws and the English Translation, there is Tencent and Bilibili hosting the chinese raws in one joint entry and Crunchyroll and Webtoons hosting the English translation in one joint entry. From that, the joint title Honkai Impact 3rd was created on MangaDex, even though every volume on that title has it's own "book".

My goal with this thread is to:

• Split all books to their own title
• Check the chapter and their number (e.g. there are chapters missing)
• unfuck fix the volume numbers (e.g. super cursed vol. 0.011 and vol. 0.999)

What needs to be done:

1. Map the number of each MangaDex volume number to each "book" of the raws site comic.bh3.com
2. Find the url of each book on the raws site comic.bh3.com so a MangaDex entry can be created.
3. Manually compare each chapter on MangaDex with the chapters on comic.bh3.com and see if their chapter number and "book" matches

TL;DR: unfuck fix the whole ip

I see, the Honkai Impact 3rd manga in Mangadex is quite literally fuked.
Starting from giving random Volume to each “Book” to putting a wrong chapter to the chronological order.
Anyway, I’d start helping him starting tomorrow.

yeah pretty much
not really random volume numbers since it's kinda sorted by story with only some chapters in the wrong volume, but they're arbitrary and unofficial numbers so...
not to speak of each "book" having differences in artist, the manga format (long strip/pages and full color/monochrome), story continuation, relation to the universe, chapter numbering, etc.
! note that I also took the chance to compare official raws and official english translations so the chapters can be linked back to the official sites, since their numbering is pretty fucked too

Anyway, I’d start helping him starting tomorrow.

now that there are multiple people: I currently have a report pending for AE Invasion (vol. 5 ch. 25-39 & vol. 5.1 ch.1)
since 1 month
I'll continue probably next month since I'm currently busy irl. Just mention me here if you need help with something and I'll hopefully notice in 24h

Yeah random isn’t quite right, but I still don’t understand why Escape from Nagazora became 2 Volumes lol maybe because it was influenced by the official english site.

I do have a question though, how do i contribute? Since i don’t think i can directly edit your post.

ch. 1-6 is in cn "book" 1001, but ch. 1-4 and ch. 5-6 are pretty much two different arcs if you consider the game and there is a 3 day time skip after ch. 4
+ the official en "book" 1015 and 1016 are splitting the chapters, which is also to take into account
so I thought it'd be best to follow the raws but make a differentiation between the Nagazora and St. Freya High arc
but I just saw that the volumes were removed

I do have a question though, how do i contribute? Since i don’t think i can directly edit your post.

I was pretty lazy until now since I was the only one

I have migrated the rest of EN Book(from this thread) into the spreadsheet, also added Moon Shadow, URL to Houkai Gakuen Event site (Most of the extras are actually from here), and some more detail here and there. It's not much but its honest work.

I don't understand how and why "Himouto Bronya" and "Kiana Plays Honkai" become part of Volume 7, it makes no sense lmao

This was not part of joint raws, but part of the Houkai Gakuen Event Site "Extra" Book.

This "Extra Book" includes:

• Halloween Special,
• Three Year Sakura,
• CN New Years,
• Hot Spring Adventure (Steamy Hot Springs),
• Himouto Bronya Chan,
• Honkai Alliance
• Honkai Hunter

which already has it's own entry in MangaDex.

Hopefully Chapter 1.1, 7.1, and 7.2 will be removed from their respective chapter in MangaDex since they are not supposed to be a part of them.
