Agree. But the reason I say good is some people in Isekai having slave just to free them.

If the story is about an isekai MC who goes around freeing slaves and helping them find new lives, that would in fact be good.

If the story is about an isekai MC who goes around dishing out righteous vengeance on slavers and slave owners that would also be good.

The problem is that too many of these series have the MC "free" the slave, only to have said slave immediately become a servant, maid, or other subordinate position to them. That's just changing the title and giving them a prettier whip; the result is still the same.

Frankly just buying the slave in the first place, even to free them, is bad because it just encourages the slavers to take more slaves (though most isekais don't even both to touch on that point).

I apologize if this comes off as an attack on you; it's truly not meant to be directed at you personally. I'm just so sick of these stories that casually involved supposedly "good" MCs with slavery that I have to vent a bit.

I'd also add too many series have said slave remain a slave literally but now to the MC "Lets stop you being a slave" "No master I want to be connected to you" and/or "It's to prove my loyalty".

And never in these series does the MC say something like "I'm still freeing you, i want you to be free together with me". It all comes off a bit controlling red flag type thinking from the original authors that the only loyal waifu is an enslaved waifu.

After I been grown up, many questions been pop up. Like this time, slave. I don't want to say good or bad thing about having sex slave, but question, why you put that slave at underground? If you put a person at underground you will not have enough sunlight, air and space. Also, their also not been take a bath or shower, close with toilet that smelling, no light, also food also will not be in balance. You also rape them and put more stress to them. Also the clothes will be smelling and ugly.

Now the real question is, will the woman still beautiful when you put the woman at that type of place? To be a beautiful, we need a lot of effort. I mean a lot. I don't think the woman will still beautiful after you put them like this. Will a noble still want to play with the woman? If it was only one time, then you will not put much effort but if you want more and lock them and still make them beautiful and smell nice, that very much effort.

But he was doing was practically illegal, if maybe he could argue it technically was not. So he or people like hime have to hide their sins. Very common among people that know what they do is wrong but do it anyway. (In real life example: Trying to hide mass grave sites is strong evidence of War Crimes and that the commanders know what they are doing are War Crimes.)

The reason why this mayor does not care about the health of the women: He can just continue to replace them.

Burying alive is a kindness to scum like that.

Good point, that scenario had slipped my mind. It's just sad that we have to read every series now just hoping they don't spring some surprise slavery on us.

Yeah off the top of my head I can only think of two isekais that go "slavery bad, kill slavers on sight" (three if I count this one) and one fantasy manga that did the whole "even buying slaves to free them is wrong" thing.

Meanwhile the number of isekais that toss in a slave party member/love interest outnumber the grains of sand on the beach.

There’s a fair number of isekai series that do the slavery bit fine or even use it to it’s advantage to add to the series. Death March and Shield hero did a good job with it and Sword Bro does the thing you brought up where the MC and Fran do kill slavers. How not to summon a demon lord also doesn’t do a bad job at the slavery bit but that type of slavery is a bit unusual as it’s more of a rebound of what they were trying to do to him. Lazy dungeon Master also has Keimq kill some bandits who had taken meat as a slave but he doesn’t really do anything other than that and the series has it where a receptionist looks badly at him because she think Meat is a pleasure slave of Keima’s because he doesn’t know what the name Meat means and only calls her that cause she told him to.

Ignoring for a moment the situations where it's obviously the author's fetish, I honestly think a lot of it comes down to laziness and chasing after other successful series.

"Just use slaves" is just a very easy (i.e. lazy) answer to questions like: how do I add an exotic species to my mostly human cast, how do I give the MC assistants who won't spill the beans about their super powers, how does my MC who shouldn't be around other people get party members, how does my otherwise undeveloped MC get some romantic interests without me spending time developing relationships, how do I quickly show what a good/kind/generous person my MC is, etc.

And of course once one series hits the jackpot with a MC who owns slaves, other people are sure to follow in an attempt to catch a bit of that success for themselves.

It's pretty saddening really; nothing brings down a fun, lighthearted series more than suddenly giving the MC a slave or two out of nowhere.

I mean it comes up A LOT. I can't count how many times I've seen some variation of the MC needing to expand their business that relies on isekai cheats, and instead of thinking up some interesting way to add helpers who can keep the secret the author just goes right to slaves.

It's fiction so they could do ANYTHING else: magic contract, oaths enforced by the gods, heck they could even just deal with the actual fallout of having someone try to reveal the cheats to people, but nope it's always "buy some slaves because they can be forced to not tell your secrets".
