Yes his relationship fell trough. I think she even got a new boyfrend already. But its been a while since i read that part of the novel.

Hugo's new plans: drown his sorrows in work, swear off relationships, become a court chef and move away from the lower city so he doesn't have to see his ex anymore.
Myne's counteroffer: become her personal chef again, cook in a kitchen full of cute girls (Ella, Nicola, occasionally Monica).

just a bit more context for that the reason he wants to move is because his ex is literally his next door neighbor in the lower city (and if i remember correctly they started living together)XD

I find myself having grown attached to the anime looks of some characters and the subtle differences in the trailer bother me. At least Myne won't look derpy anymore, hopefully.

I admit that I'll miss derpy Myne, but she needs to be noble.

However Benno's eyes are a matter of written description. And if they ruin his eyes, they might start fumbling the eyes of noble characters.

I hadn't noticed his eyes. I was paying too much attention to the shape of the faces and how they didn't look quite right. that's just probably me, though.
