no it doesn't especially when you later on learn why. point is to develop the world that even those in it might not understand some parts of it. also it's not super forced basic info would lead you to this conclusion but most didn't consider it because of the previous info they had. the previous info of it being nothing special. the difference is that they didn't consider the differing circumstances because they didn't have time to prepare for them but the circumstances are logical.
1st they are gathering on the night of shutzaria as wind mana is strongest at that point.
2nd faybeasts are attracted to mana but
3rd as stated when previously gathering there were no faybeasts around. even if there's less mana there should still be at least some that would have come but they didn't which is where the problems lie. spoiler for the future

that's why in the future they go for ingredients that they know the dangers that will arise for them more each time that they go for another. so that they can control the circumstances that they do know of.

At that point in time, there are way more than 2 adults who have more mana than her. It is likely that the top Archdukes (Klassenberg, Dunkelfelger, Drewanchel, ...) and most of the royals have more mana than her. There is even an underage kid who has more mana than her.
It is only after the jureve that she will lower that number to probably less than 10 people. And then after her 4th step compression, the number of people with more mana will go down to 2 or 3.

I mean, it was a complete swarm... They missed just one beast, which acted more sneakily, in a swarm of hundreds. They were definitely under-staffed for the amount of beasts that came.

i finished the story and think it would be awesome if her ultimate mana compression is to make elementally sirted mana paper inside her and seal it into mana books that she puts on shelves inside herself!

Maybe she could even out prayers/spells on the mana paper and do auto casting with it!
