It's the world of magic, even a shabby hut can have the same defensive ability as a fortress if it's protected by barrier. There's no reason to build a fortress when nobles can always fly over the wall on highbeasts, while commoners have close to zero power to act against them.

1st year - against over the rights to the dolls
2nd year - against over Ferdinand's cape
3rd year - against, bride stealing ditter (although there's also technically 'ally' if you consider Rozemyne sending 'sacrifices' for Dunkel to get more ditters done for research before that)
4th year - allies, Ehrenfest+Dunkel v Ahrensbach 'match' (the defense of academy wasn't considered ditter by Dunkel so eh)
