@testsubject123 Not really. He's only 5 or 6 at the most right now, he was only in kindergarten I believe it said. I don't think it's uncommon in Japan for that sort of thing to continue until the younger family member is in at least the tail end of elementary school ages, so maybe like 9-12 years old. Less common but not unheard of is middle or high schoolers continuing this sort of thing with even the opposite gendered same age or older family members. At that point it might get raised eyebrows even from other Japanese people, but what difference does it honestly make by then if they've been bathing together even just a year or two ago, really? I think usually this would just stop naturally whenever one of the two people starts getting uncomfortable with it. Obviously people are going to have varying thresholds on that sort of thing.

Pretty sure it was pointed out he was in first grade already, probably as of when the main cast became third years in high school. He was only in kindergarten for the first year of the manga which was only the first several chapters or so. Not that it changes much for your argument, just figured I'd point it out.

If you mean Chapter 37, 'Cold Rain', they most definitely did have sex, considering the context after that scene in the same chapter. Like, literally, there's a quick flashback during his conversation with Shindou where the couple are sitting looking at each other after the act, Miyamura shirtless (and belt undone) and Hori implied to be shirtless because there's a visual of her from the front, completely bare shoulders visible but no further down. You don't really have that sort of visual on a woman, especially with Hori's fairly casual fashion sense, unless her upper body is completely bare.

Worth noting it's exactly ten chapters after their first kiss, too, in Ch27 'Flavor'.
