Gawd damn the amount of detail they skipped in anime is just infuriating everything is making way much more sense now when I'm reading manga -_-
Yeah... The more I'm reading, the more I wish they just reproduced the first several chapters up to at least the proper start of the relationship into the episodes, and then from that point maybe grab some choice moments for the rest of the series, but there's just so much omitted (and even unnecessarily re-arranged, like how the segment about comparing hands and handholding happens
before the argument and fight between Izumi and Tooru, so it can't have Izumi reflecting on what Tooru said while he's handling the DVDs and cases after the handholding and indirect confession incident) as it is in the anime.
The fact the 'second season' is also more of a supplementary season telling other stories that happened alongside the ones they told in the first season makes it feel even worse, in a way.
But still, I enjoyed it for what it was, and it made me want to look up the manga, so there's that...
Also, this entire chapter, pretty sure, was in the anime, at least. It was the first segment of Episode 4. But still, so many chapters before this seemed to get skipped. But at least a few of those bits got reproduced into the aforementioned supplementary season, the 'Missing Pieces' thing, like the Kyoto trip. Just... wish it was all chronological and no actual gaps. I don't care if it reached all the way to graduation or not, I just wish it covered what it could more coherently and completely.
