How do you even cut your finger when you baked a cupcake? Butterknife accident?
In parallel marks might indicate she touched the tray and burned them even through oven mitts.
I never understood this trope. Is it even physically possible to make a baking product that bad? Baking is pure chemistry. You measure everything, mix it together, set the oven for described temperature, and bake for described time = 100% success rate. You can mess up cooking, but not baking.
How tf do you mess up so bad that it's burnt and even get your fingers cut? even my first time baking wasn't that bad (this is just a small rant)
Probably set the temperature too high, those are simple cupcakes, require low temperature, common mistake for a beginner...

Tooru and Yuki arguably do come out of left field... except the fact they're still good friends, so all that's necessary is for a sudden desire to take it a step further. It still feels like a more solid foundation than 'boy treated me nicely, let me make him cookies to show my affection'.

I imagine Sakura will lose, but grow from the experience and end up finding another guy she clicks with better.
Yeah, Sakura seem like a person who didn't had much care in her life and receiving common help caused her to immediately think it's something more.

I've seen it before, people with low self-esteem, raised with little love in family or both will believe even common courtesy is "love".
This will cause a lot of problems, people like that are very vulnerable especially now with internet access and people hiding behind "anonymity" that will abuse and throw into wrong end...

It's "she", isn't it? I thought that "HERO" is a pseudonym of a woman?
You know... I wouldn't be surprised. I keep finding out many of the anime/manga that I've particularly enjoyed in recent years are actually originally written by women, and I realize just how much more believable they feel to me. They just seem to 'get' emotions better, in general, I guess?

Like Saeki-san (Angel Next Door), Sakurai Norio (BokuYaba), Umino Chica (March Comes in Like a Lion, though I feel like I should look into Honey and Clover at some point), Fujichika Koume (SukiMega and Tonari no Onee-san ga Suki)... And Fukuda Shinichi (Sono Bisque)... (at least, fairly sure at this point they're all women?)
