An officer at least should be loyal to those he's sworn to protect, whereas nothing, logically, suggests Harold should be loyal to anyone. He's just desperate for a second chance. Does it matter who gives that second chance? But like someone said, in a traditional storytelling way he might be trustworthy. But what the heck is that other dude, Gora, though? It's like he was planted there blatantly as an enemy spy or even as Harold's manager. What role exactly does his presence serve otherwise? It's either that or a red herring.
