Sirens are technically half human, with a bird lower body and wings. It is overly mistaken that sirens have a fish lower body, like mermaids, and are recognized as if both were the same, which it's not true. Both creatures have the same ability of enchanting through voice, but sirens are avian, and mermaids fish.

oh, the boys love tag is added, just realized miharu was wearing pants and not a skirt/female. tho would've been interested if there was a girl 'immune' b/c she was a lesbian but i guess gender wouldn't matter. that kinda test seems like bs but i guess a bored supernatural creature has nothing better to do if they don't have to worry about hunters (tho if he wanted to die that bad couldn't he turn himself in and get the death penalty or so)

wouldn't be surprised if ppl depicted both but a siren harpy makes sense (i just think of that one isekai restaurant ep where the harpy siblings? played the piano and accidentally hypnotized the chef)

Author was so close to having meme gold, coulda called the guy "John Thallassa" instead.

i think it's the long hair and the jealous girl since normally one wouldn't be jealous of a guy getting the 'pretty boy transfer student's attention' but i wouldn't be surprised if they were meant to be intentionally androgynous (I still would've assumed it was a female if it was like a western setting but other than the rare ones with less strict schools or so but yeah no skirt)

True. I also guess I am used to the trope of a tomboyish girl wearing a boy's uniform to school since she is more comfortable in it, but I don't know if that is even something that happens outside of anime/manga either haha.

yeah i would've expected it to be a form of 'rebellion' /part of her bullying like "we ruined her skirt so she has no choice to wear pants" or so (but if anything other than leggings underneath i'd expect some to be allowed to wear pants during the winter or so. but other than anime/game chara i wonder how many ppl would wear a gym outfit/tracksuit all year)
and they just called him miharu without a -kun/any other honorific

To me it seems like he's barking up the wrong tree by approaching people who seem to hate him.

Like the opposite of love/obsession isn't, "I hate that guy," it's, "Who? Oh yeah that guy."
