Well there it goes. That's a 3 way FFA slug fest. In a way, he's like Hachiman. He's trying to hold of the few things his hand can hold. Or the few things he only has left in his hands.

But the way he responded to Kanou was a stupid and moronic. I can understand his respond if Kanou and Matsukata are friends. He'll gonna feel guilty if he broke up the friendship of Kanou and Matsukata if he chose Kanou there. That's the what if scenario. Couldn't he just answered and got out with Kanou there and then and somehow manage to get them made up after? But the worst scenario will the what he had in his mind. Matsukata will hate him for it and making them made up will make it worst. Either way of those scenarios he'll hurt two of those of girls one way or the other.

Goddamn. Hoshino's getting the lead once more. I thought for sure that Kanou's still in the front of the race. That's some cliched scenario the author have written there. Well, we'll just see how this unfolds. Looks like Kanou won't give up and will continue in the race. Either way, Kobayakawa needs to realize that whoever he chooses, two of those girls will definitely be hurt. If they hate him for it, that's part of what choosing someone is. Hopefully this author steer away from that first girl basis.

. . . bruh, you could see this coming miles away, all the stuff from last chapter was prep for this to happen, the setup for MC and the heroine... his mindset about everyone being important and all that shiz is just fluff, he has the mentality for it but not something he would mention or be able to put into words. So, now conveniently because of that he can't respond to Kanou's feelings?? What kind of BS is this? So Kanou is not important to the MC? Because what he did would have ended with hurting someone in the end, shallow af plot execution! That and the fact that he's keeping Matsukata in the dark now after receiving her confession even though he wants them to be on good terms again?! How about saying that after making up with Kanou for real because she's the one the MC betrayed first and hurt the most so far!
