That was lovely I'm so happy for her. It's open ended in a way that feels like it leaves room for the MC to make her own decisions and prioritise her safety as she heals and grows.

Thank you for all the tl work on this series it was a joy to read.

I don't really understand the reason why she got rid of that altar, but I'm glad that Sachi was able to move on.

And RIP that old cat. I lost a few myself, and it's always tough...

I'd like to express my gratitude to everyone who worked on this scanlation. It was a short ride, but I really enjoyed the lighthearted mood.

Man, Tamao's passing is a gut punch. They may be our best buddies, but they've still got a shorter lifespan than we do, give your pets a hug dudes.

Also to whoever doesn't understand why she got rid of the altar, I'm not sure if I misinterpret it or not, but judging by the strained memories she has of her mom and (effectively) dad, she wants a more positive living space, deciding instead of having a shrine at home, to move them to a graveyard.

Many thanks for the TLs

The most cat-like thing for me is to scratch the door to let in.
It was a nice read. And it ended including everything it consisted of. Thank you very much, team.

I love this manga so much. Thanks for translating it until the end!
Side note, was the passbook empty? Is the implication that her mom really did spend all the money?
It's the opposite, actually. Her mom had to set it up, but if you look, every single line has "*", which means it was only ever deposited into, nothing was ever taken out of it. 33,000 yen is only around ~$230 USD, but her mom never took a yen out of what was meant for her.

I don't really understand the reason why she got rid of that altar, but I'm glad that Sachi was able to move on.

Having the altar at home was, in a way, nothing more than a way for her to make herself feel guilty over her mother and their relationship. In a way, she was living with her demons in full view of her everyday life.

You can imagine how hard it would be to even sort out your feelings with that staring at you. By moving it out and likely into a place she can choose to visit, Sachi is moving forward so she can handle her emotions and her life fully.

I dunno if I'm reading too much into it, but it seemed like she started working with her aunt (as an interior decorator/painter?). Hopefully a less stressful job that pays better than being an OL. And now that she doesn't work for Kurokata, maybe they can start dating.

A wonderfully real story, "slice of life" with a true adult emphasis on life, with its ups and downs and the passing of relationships into memories even as new ones are formed. Repeated over and over for us all. Thanks to the TLs for sure.

Yes, they trot at a different pace then we do, until one day they trot right on ahead. But we all come to it in the end I figure, so in that respect they teach a lesson there too on how important the journey is. Hurts a lot to lose family and friends, two legged or four, but our lives are so much richer for having formed those bonds and had the best run we could.

Thanks for everything! Other than maybe the ashes/remains surprised a monk/buddhist temple would need to be asked to remove the full altar versus repurposing it but glad she's taking a step forward
Felt axed, but it was still a lovely ending. Looking forward to more from this author!
There is Lunch Zake. Be interesting if that got a live action (Tho apparently their 'taberu dake' one got one although that jdrama was filmed in a more...fanservicey way than a slice of life foody way haha)

That last chapter felt one big jump from the previous one. A lot happened (RIP Chief's cat), but things are looking up for Hosomura and Snacks.

I agree it was probably axed, as the author never got to delve into the chief and hosomura's budding relationship, but all's well that ends well.
