Tbf it wasnt as big of a grimace the cat made but the author prolly wanted to do parallel to his pet (tho I imagine some ppl can put on “unpleasant” faces while eating spicy food but still enjoy it despite the heat/pain lol)

I don’t think I have a grin on my face while enjoying food so maybe it was an unconscious reaction, tho mukbangs aside I can imagine ppl not wanting to there to see them eat/chew think it’d make some ppl insecure/self conscious about it if someone was like “why does ur face look like that when eating” (tho as an overworked/worn out office worker, maybe it's affected his facial muscles/expressions since i don't know if we'll see him smile yet even if he isn't always in a bad mood)

At least he didn’t try to pet him xD tho I sure the shippers would enjoy that

Me if the food is good but somehow hard to eat.

Like it's too hot or sorta tricky to get on a fork.
