I was thinking that as well in hiw irs a blurry line. However, I think this chapter is showing he can be a little selfish. I personally see him as thoughtful to others because he doesn't seem to care or not when it comes certain things he let's others have such as the pudding

Yeah, tbh this chapter is resonates with me because I can be like the guy in this chapter too. Sometimes I'm kind to others and whatever I sacrificed for it tends to be not too consequential to me. But sometimes I also ponder whether I let others walk over me too much just exactly like the guy in this chapter. Which is why I think it's a matter of finding the balance and be flexible, and whether others judge you as doormat is not the sole answer since everyone has their own perspective.

not sure if i've had egg custard but i have had an 'egg flan' and like a caramel pudding that was pretty good...

i mean other than them being super expensive or one box per customer that's on them for not getting a portion for everyone tho i probably would've gotten a variety pack, or at least split it with someone or so
