I loved this series. It's a tight, well-paced read that you can complete in one sitting. A lot of people don't seem to like the ending or the religious horror, but that's all the stuff that I live for. I've seen very few stories do Buddhist storytelling well outside of Phoenix and the Nausicaa manga. I only read this because I'm desperately waiting for more Cicionia, but I'm glad I did.

I felt it was well done until the last 3 chapters. The horror and mystery around the story were pretty amazing, but it feels like it ended too suddenly. Not to mention some questions remained unanswered (Yue's mother leaving the family, for example.) I think the author left that as a joker just in case but never used it.
