i like how this displays one of the pitfalls of reincarnation as a belief. It can potentially be a built in excuse to dismiss the less fortunate. "yeah, that deaf armless kid must have been a reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeal fucker in his previous life -OH WELL"

I feel like the inspiration behind the whole story was the single panel where he wants to say something but gets cut off.

That was definitely the highlight of the oneshot.
