wait, on reflection it's cringe isn't it. we're supposed to think that whether her being soft on a guy is good or bad depends on whether she "really" likes him or not. his paternalism is based, and shouldn't depend at all on her feelings. if he likes her, he should just "take advantage" of the openings she gives him, he doesn't need her to verbally affirm that she meant to give them, that's some consent culture shit
