What an odd sentiment running through the comment section. There are quite a lot of people that think, for some unfathomable reason, that the reboot series has worse art than the axed manga. I do not know why that is, perhaps some sort of emotional attachment to the old series? Some even say that art is subjective but in this case it's not. The reboot has, by an objective metric, improved from the old series art by miles; like the difference between an amateur and professional (no offence to the old artist). The old art had issues in art techniques and convened fundamentals, such as misaligned and/or straight up wrong perspective, wonky and malformed anatomy, bad panelling, stiff poses, etc. You cannot, in good faith, argue something like the introductory fight scene in the reboot where the elf girl is getting LAUNCHED in the wall from the impact of the minotaur's hit (page 4) is somehow WORSE than the original's wet noodle slap fight championship (page 10 ch. 1) and then have the AUDACITY to think shit like "WOW, GEEZ LOUISE, YES THE ORIGINAL HAS MUCH BETTER ART AND DIRECTION, OF COURSE A SMALL ELF GIRL OF 5 FEET CAN GET SLAPPED AROUND 50 TIMES PER SECOND BY A 2000 POUND 12 FOOT MINOTAUR STANDING ON THE SPOT WITH NOTHING HAPPENING, IT'S MANGA LOGIC AFTER ALL!" (I am fighting shadows at this point). I'm not even going to go into detail at how much better looking and appealing the organic shapes of the characters have gotten in the reboot since that's just technical, droning detail. Yes, I'm actually annoyed at the people calling the art worse, also the fucker calling the older series cuter despite the reboot being a literal fucking marketing brochure on what appeals as "cute" to the masses, RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH.
