Reading the comment sections I always get surprised at how everyone actually want Phos to commit genocide, and I'm not sure that's were the author is trying to get but, well, to each their own. To me things just gotten so meaningless that all I want is some sort of closure already. Maybe the author wraps everything up by next year.

I personally don't feel it's meaningless but I get how you feel. So many people in the comment section just aren't getting what the author is trying to pass across and makes for terrible takes and and convos

Absolutely this and the comment you were replying to.
It's absurd how off people are with regards to Phos' original intent and current situation.

Never at any singular point in the story did Phos say they wanted to "save the gems", finding out the situation with Adamant was ultimately to sate their own curiosity and inferiority complex, compounded with the feeling they got with wanting to help Cinnabar.

They wanted change because they felt useless, and forced that feeling on everyone else, when a good number of them wanted nothing to do with it.

It's boggles my mind how people can read this for years and not understand that forcing change on someone isn't a good thing.
