Seems it was that unserious relationship where mc wanted more but the one in the flashback didn't want to date for real... wait what? That's not how the flashback went!

The original pitch (?) had Hinata "figuring out" that Mizuki was a closeted lesbian that married a man just to "fit in." This was retooled in the actual serialization.

Volume 3 ends on a cliffhanger so there is at least one more volume (if the manga was in danger or anything). Do keep in mind that the "raw" link we have in Dex is way behind for some reason and it takes months for it to be updated.
