So this is the rest of the first chapter? A little weird but okay. The MC seems somewhat well known amongst the town’s citizens and fairly well liked; I find it hard to believe that the first person to give the kid a chance was a random elf passerby (I’d get it if he was an adult, but no one wanted to help out this poor minor?; humans in fantasy worlds are scary). Well I do like a story where the MC actually has to start from zero and work his way up. But seriously no one wanted to help the kid before now? And was fine watching him pull weeds, get his money stolen, and (now) dive into a dungeon full of monsters? Like there were no apprenticeships or in house jobs he could do? No random rich couple looking for orphans to take in? Cold world.

@TNT261 i think rather than it being that he never received money from all those other people. It was most likely never in the amount that the elf adventurer gave him, and it was also pointed out that whenever he was asleep his stuff got stolen by the other people in the alleys. It's also more likely that all those people might've been giving him food or clothes, letting him stay inside etc. I think the elf was basically his kick off point because of the sheer amount that she gave him. He was able to afford basic gear to finally take that first step to becoming an adventurer and to delve into the dungeons. Also there is pretty high discrimination against people that are in the slums from what it looks like from this first chapter, shown by the silver class adventurer.

The dungeon isn't some large cavern but is basically a different world all together. I was not expecting that.

Echoing what I said last time, could really use a better proofer or tl to begin with. Still, thanks for your work!

> goes into a dungeon without learning anything about it first

I'm sure this will end well.

She gave him the equivalent of 20 meals in a restaurant, not everyone can afford to give that much.
you give 100 dollars to a homeless person?

it's not really a spoiler
later in the story you will understand that it is already well helped by the locals.
But especially that there are much more illogical things in this story ...

No need this story doesn't deserve it.
I read enough of the novel to tell you that
the concept is interesting, but the author has made a lot of mistakes that make this story not very realistic.
But it's still interesting to read

@Halo
Technically this is his last chance, because he has no more money and if he comes back without enough money to pay for a place to sleep, he will be robbed of everything he has bought.
Even if he could very well leave everything with the seller, but hey this story is biased, because he could have left his money long before and save money slowly
it's not really a spoiler
that he is friends with the seller and his daughter
, it just teaches you that the story is biased to give it meaning

if the story made sense, no need for someone to give him a gold coin, because he could have gotten into this situation himself, but without that, he doesn't need to meet the elf..
There are some stupid situation like that, but you can ignore them and try to appreciate the story.
But don't expect a story with a lot of reflection, it's superficial

The worst part is that finally a gold coin seems huge in this chapter, but the adventurers guild could very well provide the necessary equipment (sword, ...), food, other beginners
accommodation for a few days and basic informations of the first level and hoped for a quick refund.

I criticize this story, but it's not to discourage you guys, I read 130 chapters of the novel, so it's not totally uninteresting.
