What happened? Why are all the chapters gone?! I left it at chapter 6 so that I could read it after more chapters were up, but they're all gone. Was it purged? Axed? Was there a fallingout between the author and TL? I need answers, please.

For those wondering what happened for all the chapters to disappear (like @Reader218, @VoidMeta, @HaphazardMage, @monkey123, @Freigus and @Annarraa111), check out Little Tangerine's group thread.

Long story short, the translator for this webtoon got caught using machine translations when he previously vehemently defended himself against the accusation. Instead of admitting to it, he tried to get rid of all the evidence he could.

For those wanting to read the webtoon, you can find the chapters on other sites that yank them from MangaDex, like this one.

There's also a separate group that's ahead in their translations, but the quality is not as good since they have less quality control on their MTL. But at least they're honest about using MTL.

As far as I know, Violet doesn't see the dragon as a lover, even in the future. But there are quite a few more web novel volumes to be translated, so I dunno whether something may change there. I do wish for it myself, though.

I agree. I only got involved in this because Little Tangerine was quite dishonest with me personally.

I'm all for high quality MTLs, so I tried to advise him on how to improve his work since it was already pretty good (mind you, I mostly refer to his web novel translation), but he kept denying his use of machine translations and ignoring all my points, instead answering things I didn't ask as if I did.

All the context can be found in that thread. It may be fun for those who like to see a liar be exposed, and his subsequent attempts to cover it all up in a panic.

Thanks for the heads up. A real shame bud had to go nuclear, reminds me of the “artists” who got really good with AI and claimed it was then doing it while also bashing ai generated images.

I wouldn't say he "had to" go nuclear. He had a chance to come out and say something like "Yeah, I'm sorry. I panicked and fucked up." to clear his name.

With reasons like "I wanted to hide it because I didn't want to get hated for it." and/or "I felt ashamed I couldn't keep a good translation speed without the use of chat bots" and/or "I need the money, and people are more willing to pay when there is more content." or whatever other reasons he may have had to both hide his use of MTL and getting rid of Anon without a single message. He just had to be honest.

It's a shame, really. I just hope he learns from this and becomes more honest with his next rebrand, since I highly doubt he'll grow the balls to speak as Little Tangerine again.

Huh, I was just wondering why new chapters suddenly started appearing somewhere other than Mangadex. Looks like this might be why.

I may be wrong but it looks like Little Tangerine is on Bato under the U/N XiaoGuang. All the end credits that once featured Little Tangerine is removed and the Ko-Fi link at the end is different.

Don't worry, I got what you meant. I just felt like saying that he always had the choice of confronting reality and being a man, but he chose to act like a little weasel.
