How do I find out my group ID?

The shorter IDs are legacy IDs from v3, and we keep redirects around for convenience. New groups don't get them, and old groups don't actually use them either, they're just internally converted to the UUIDs.

You sure you're not just remembering the old v3 format where it was just numbers?
Though they do seem to redirect i don't know if any new ones would

e.g. this thread from 2021

Are crossbreed scans https://mangadex.org/group/1095
And
Ninja Scans https://mangadex.org/group/5351 considered inactive now that they’ve been away for 6+ months?

Edit: last group that has a redirect is between 18751 and 18800, not feeling like going digging THAT much for the exact one to get an exact date but with 18751 has an upload in 2021 which means indeed that with v5 all new groups only has the long format one (and the ol' ones get to retain their short hand ones, at least for now, who knows, they might get ripped out at one point)

Edit2: i kinda missed the point though, assuming you do have a group that is from v3 i don't think there is any way to actually know which number you had unless you.. just knew from seeing it back then (or feel like going on an adventure going number by number (probably shouldn't do that though¿))

Edit3: just a side note, it seems like the site really don't like those old urls much, seeing some errors in the console
